Suggestion from April 10 2023

Wine: 2011 Chablis

Producer: Domaine François Raveneau

Comment: This remains remarkably fresh in the context of what is typical for the 2011 vintage in Chablis at this point in its evolution with its beautifully layered nose that reflects notes of white flower, pear, peach and plenty of classic Chablis character. The palate impression is one of big-bodied and intensely mineral-driven flavors that exude ample amounts of dry extract that buffers the moderately firm acid spine on the very dry and well-balanced finish. While this could certainly be enjoyed now, it is a wine that is clearly still on the way up and I would advise continuing to hold. In brief, this is a terrific wine for the vintage.
