Wine: 2011 La Grande Rue
Producer: Domaine François Lamarche
Comment: Relatively generous wood frames the cool red berry fruit nose that is lavishly spiked with an impressive array of spice and floral notes. There is a sophisticated mouth feel to the supple yet well-detailed middle weight flavors that exude a fine dry extract on the gorgeously complex, persistent and utterly delicious finish. This highly seductive effort should also drink well in its youth but amply reward longer-term cellaring.
