Burghound.com® - The Burgundy of the Week

Domaine William Fèvre Wine: 1999 Chablis Grand Cru - Valmur

Producer: Domaine William Fèvre

Comment: Wonderfully intense Chablis character and suffused with grand cru intensity from the beautifully detailed fruit to the long, austere finish. The flavors offer razor sharp detail, good power and pronounced yet ripe acidity. Classic, old style Chablis and highly recommended. 91/2006-12

U.S. Importer: Cliquot Imports.

Suggested Price: Approximately $59 (you can expect to pay around $50)

Important Note: Burghound.com has no financial relationship of any kind with Domaine Fèvre or with Cliquot Imports.

Each week we feature a different Burgundy. While there will be a mix of vintages, most wines featured will be those that can normally be found at a variety of fine wine retailers. Each wine will be described and rated with a suggested window of peak drinkability indicated after the numerical score. Prices shown are estimated retail in the U.S., but prices do of course vary widely depending on the retailer.
