Domaine Larochette-Manciat Wine: 2002 Mâcon "Les Morizottes"

Producer: Domaine Larochette-Manciat (Chaintré)

Comment: Sweet, floral, spicy and expressive aromas lead to ripe, middle weight and rich flavors that offer much better than average concentration at this level plus fine length. There is a lovely textured quality to the finish and this offers outstanding value and would make a great house white. Approachable now but it should benefit from one more year in bottle. 88/2005+

U.S. Importer: Langdon-Shiverick, Cleveland.

Suggested Price: $18 (you can expect to pay around $13 to $16)

Important Note: Burghound.com com has no financial relationship of any kind with Larochette-Manciat or any of the importers listed herein.

Each month we feature a different Burgundy or, occasionally, a wine in the Burgundy tradition from another world wine region. While there will be a mix of vintages, most wines featured will be those that can normally be found at a variety of fine wine retailers. Each wine will be described and rated with a suggested window of peak drinkability indicated after the numerical score. Prices shown are estimated retail in the U.S., but prices do of course vary widely depending on the retailer.
